It's been my experience that homeschooled kids often end up very poorly socialized, since they're not exposed to a large peer group during their social development. Certainly, "homeschool groups" can help, but only so much. This video post is an excellent example of why I won't homeschool my kids -- I want them to have decent social skills.

Socialization can be a problem for some homeschoolers. I wish I was more well-integrated with the peers at public schools, where I would learn more about drugs, alcohol, bullying, gunshots, sordid teacher affairs and explicit sex-ed at the age of seven.

Sadly, I was given a less "socialized" and more "successful" path of learning.
